Back in the beginning of 2000-s the Avia Management Group (DEXTER) started it’s operation from Moscow as the first aero-taxi in the region operating Russian-made M-101T (Gzhel). Then the Swiss-made Pilatus PC-12 were received, renewed later by the modification PC-12/47E. As well as the FDA in Russia is mandatory for operators of a relatively small aircraft as well, the operator was forced to ask the Pilatus to feet aircraft with FDRs. And that was done. First F1000 and then FA2100 were installed. And that was the first case when FDRs were installed at Pilatus aircraft ever. Thus, the FSIT faced numerous problems while developing the FDA software and providing an assistance to the operator initially. All the challenges of the first years of operation have been successfully resolved and an experience of the PC-12 FDR data utilization is worldwide used now.
